Who Needs to Stretch?

  Everyone should stretch if they are able to.  It’s important to stretch before and after every workout.  Notice it says stretch not be flexible.  Just by doing a few stretches you can reduce the chances of getting injured, becoming sore, and so much more.

A few ways to stretch are listed below along with some picture examples.


1. Standing side stretch. Spreading the legs apart motioning from one side to the other.  This exercise is used to loosen the muscles in your legs and get them ready and warmed up to perform.




2. Tricep Stretch. Pulling your arms across your chest from one side to the other. This exercise allows you to reduce tension in the biceps and triceps and get them ready to endure the exercises that are to come.




3. Various Yoga Stretches. Although it may not seem like it, posture is very important to your fitness journey. Better posture means your abs are working harder and good posture can help you have good form during your workouts. Good form = better, quicker results!
